Ascension's Welcome Statement

Since 2008, Ascension has committed to being a “Reconciling in Christ” (RIC) congregation that welcomes and includes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) people.
Over the years, “Reconciling Works” a progressive Lutheran movement,
(through which we are recognized as a ‘Reconciling’ congregation) has
grown significantly. There are now approximately 886 RIC Partners throughout the United States and Canada.
